Motherhood brings a lot of changes to a woman, not only to her body and mind but also to her marriage. We mothers tend to forget to take time to attend our needs, especially in the beginning... For me personally, it took about a year to understand that taking care of myself doesn't make me a bad mother, it doesn't mean that I'm selfish or that I put myself first. NO! In fact, making the most out of myself, nurturing my body, my soul and my marriage is just as important to my child as it is to me. As they say, "the more confident a mother is, the more secure her child will be"! I think this is also true for the marriage. I would say: a more confident woman equals a more successfull marriage. ;)
I consider myself one of those lucky people who can call herself "happy". I mean I have everything that makes a person complete - not materialistically of course. I have all the love in the world for my family, and I feel insanely blessed to have their support, no matter what. And I said a good marriage takes hard work and effort, and first and foremost, requires that each partner wishes to make the other happy. Hubby and I try to spend as much "just the two of us time" together as possible, and even if we can't, each day I try to keep him feel secure as a man, make him feel that he completes me as woman, and assure him that he is the One for me. Yes, even men need this kind of security.
Dress to impress... is my key to let that fire burning. Haha. Seriously, physical attraction is so important in a relationship, and a relationship without it is more like a friendship. And we all know that alone won't keep a relationship/ marriage alive. You gotta make him feel that he hit the jackpot by choosing you, not only at the beginning of the relationship, but right through.
So last week hubby and I had a little date night - thanks to my amazing mum! He took me out to dinner and to the movies. We had a wonderful time, we're giggling all night like teenagers. Since we haven't been out together for a while, I thought I'd make it special and surprise him by wearing a super hot outfit and some seriously bold lips. Well, oh well, it was a SUCCESS! I normally don't wear a lot of magenta, especially purple lips but I think I pulled it off quite okay... I hope you guys like it. Thanks for reading my long monologue. :D A big bucket of kisses to you All!
